During the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017 that is just round the corner, the ministry of railways and the Gujarat Government will sign a MoU worth Rs 67,000 crore for the ambitious Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet train project.

As per TOI report, the high speed Bullet train project has an estimated total cost of Rs 97,000 crore and is scheduled for a period of six years. The train will travel between Sabarmati station in Ahmedabad and Bandra Kurla complex in Mumbai. The train will stop at Boisar, Virar, Thane and then BKC in Maharashtra while in Gujarat; the high-speed bullet train will have stops at Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Bilimora and Vapi.

As per TOI report, the Gujarat government will give land and facilitate implementation of the project. According to the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRC), the Gujarat government will bear 25% of the total project cost, which is the implementing agency in the Union ministry of railways.
